Educational Philosophy
The School of Design was established to carry out Ming Chuan’s educational philosophy of “attending to all students with parental care, support, and guidance”. Taking excellence, professionalism, and internationalization as its educational goals, the School makes special effort on practicing theory-based, application-oriented education; and actively establishes an international learning environment.

Teaching Outcomes
Under the leadership and support of Founder Pao and President Lee, and the efforts of all Deans, Chairs and faculty members in the School of Design, the school has achieved outstanding performance in teaching, research, service and student learning outcomes. Student recruitment for Overseas Youth Vocational Training School and Special Class for Mainland China Students is top-ranked in Taiwan. Design students have won awards in such competitions as iF Design, Red Dot Design, Adobe Design Achievement, Output International Student Awards, Taiwan Young Designers, Times Young Creative Awards and 4A Creative Awards. Students have also earned commendation through their participation in design contests in Taoyuan and Taipei, and assistance with community disaster prevention.
